Another great podcast conversation with Vanessa Johnson and myself about being trauma informed and how crucial this is when you are supporting victims and survivors. We attempt to bring attention to things we have observed as others try to support, interview and have conversations with survivors and about survivors. There is benefit to receiving trauma informed education and teaching because if we are not careful with our responses and how we navigate interactions with survivors, we will cause more harm.
We begin to tackle the topic of triggers. We discuss what triggers are and what they are not. We just scratched the surface with this topic. There is so much more to be said for both support people and survivors. This is why I want to announce that I will be rebooting my YouTube channel! I've renamed it "Trauma Informed Conversations". This is the reason why this blog's name has changed as well.
So, keep your eyes open and your ears tuned in to the re-launch of my YouTube channel. I want to have lots of conversations around all kinds of topics having to do with being trauma informed. Be sure to shoot me your questions and things you would like to hear discussed on this topic.
Until next time...
Choose to heal together!

What an insightful conversation. Worth listening to again and taking notes.
